In order to make the process more enjoyable, here are a few things you can do:
*Take a warm shower before your wax to open up your pores.
*Use a loofah to exfoliate your skin and prevent ingrown hairs.
*Avoid gels, lotions and oils before your wax as it may interfere with hair removal.
*Avoid tanning 24 hours before your wax.
*Your hair must be a quarter of an inch (about 10-14 days of growth) to adhere correctly to the wax.
*Be sure to discuss any topical creams you are using, as well as any allergies.
*Avoiding triggers like alcohol and caffeine a few days before your wax can help reduce pain, making the process a little more bearable.
*Resist the urge to shave between sessions
How long does a wax last?
After a client's first waxing, the results can last 3 to 6 weeks depending on the individual's hair re-growth rate. In most cases, hair growth is minimal during the first week or two and noticeably increases in the third and fourth week.
In order to relieve skin irritation and ingrown hairs effectively a solution must be able to penetrate the barrier properties of the skin. PFB Vanish contains powerful yet gentle exfoliates to enhance penetration for a quick response; usually within 48 hours. We have PFB Vanish at Station 710 Salon.
